Sponsored Charity Run
.JPG) On Monday 8th February over 20 teachers and staff at Ysgol Dyffryn Taf ran round the playing field once in order to provide shelter boxes for people in Haiti, where the devastating earthquake struck. Pupils sponsored the staff, and runners included Mr Newsome, Mrs Glyn-Thomas, Mrs Rimmer and Mrs Reeve. There was a wide range of fancy dress costumes, including the men with moustaches from the 118 adverts, bank robbers chained together, Tweety and Sylvester, and a man riding an ostrich (Mr Newsome!!!!). The winner was Mr Pulman-Slater, and Mrs Glyn-Thomas came in second place. The shelter boxes that are sent to Haiti with the money raised include: a 10-man tent, a stove, water supplies and even a water carrier (the box itself!).
