2006 Dyffryn Taf School

Welcome to Ysgol Dyffryn Taf

A Message from the Head

Dyffryn Taf School holds an important place within the Community. It is the inheritor of the academic traditions of the area. We are proud of these traditions and strive to maintain strong values of mutual respect, smartness and self-discipline. The Staff and Governors continually work, not only to sustain, but also develop the provision of the very best forms of learning and education.

The aims of the school may be summed up in a single phrase: "Realising one’s potential". We seek to maintain an ethos in which high aspirations are nurtured, maintained and each person’s talents are fully utilized. Staff have high expectations and seek to match potential in the standards they set. Maximum achievement, in all areas, is our ultimate goal. We recognise that each student is an individual, with individual needs and talents, and we aim to provide the support, encouragement and opportunity that each individual deserves in order to achieve maximum potential and personal progression. The school is determined to progress with developments that will address the needs of young people in a rapidly changing world which is characteristic of the Twenty First Century.

We have tremendous ambition for everyone who comes to the school. With Staff, Students, Parents, Governors and the wider Community working together, we know we can achieve our aims. Prospective pupils, and parents, are welcome to make an appointment to take the opportunity to view the School.
